Because e-bike safety is no accident.
ATSPA CONFERENCE
Here are our promised downloads and information.
Thank you for attending the ATSPA Conference!
We hope you’ll reach out to the Bellemont Project to learn more about how we can help you make a difference in the Wild West era of e-bikes and e-motos.
The Incline Program
The Incline Program serves as behavior-driven model for diversion programs that pivots away from punitive enforcement and toward authentic mastery and internalized accountability. As a specialized resource for this conference, we have provided a two-page download of “A Letter to Loved Ones,” a thought exercise designed to dismantle the “barrier of distrust” and engage the participant’s capacity for empathy. By imagining the broad social consequences of their own imagined catastrophic injury, riders are prompted to move beyond the bikes, stunts, and status-seeking goals, to confront the far-reaching effects of their choices.
We invite you to print these materials and complete the assignment in handwriting yourself; by stepping into the role of an Incline participant, you can experience firsthand how this intentional shift from rules to relationships fosters genuine accountability and a more complete understanding of the actual stakes behind every risk they take. The Handout for Parents
Status for teens means belonging to the “in” group. Being part of a social group that peers admire is important to them.
Respect for teens means receiving the applause and shout-outs they deserve for showing off their amazing talents and skills. When a teen can literally dance on the seat of a moving e-bike, you know they trained for it and have awesome talent. It’s important that they be recognized for that.
The difference is, you can help them become pros, maybe in e-motocross, or maybe performing in shows like Cirque du Soleil. First, you must help talented young riders advocate for safer spaces to train, perform, and compete. It won’t be easy, but consider the alternative.
One thing is clear: The freeways are not appropriate training grounds for pro performers.

The Bedside Brief: A 3-Step Guide for Clinicians
Designed for the high-velocity environment of the trauma bay, The Bedside Brief serves as a strategic roadmap for navigating the crucial “teachable moment” following an e-bike or e-moto injury.
This 3-step guide provides clinicians with a rapid-response framework to implement the Mentor Mindset, shifting the bedside narrative from punitive enforcement to technical mastery. By utilizing a transparency statement to establish benevolent intent, explaining the exponential physics of “velocity squared,” and offering a status-neutral path toward legal equipment alternatives, medical professionals can effectively dismantle the adolescent “barrier of distrust.” We recommend keeping this guide easily accessible at the point of care to ensure that every clinical encounter becomes an opportunity for effective injury prevention and long-term behavioral change.

The Book That Parents Need!
The Caring Parent’s E-Bike Survival Guide functions as a practical, on-the-go toolkit for families who need immediate answers on everything from shopping for a truly legal e-bike and maintaining its mechanical safety to managing teen conduct on the road.
By applying leading-edge research from adolescent psychology and the “Mentor Mindset,” this guide helps parents build a foundation of mutual respect that effectively counters the pull of online influencers and peer pressure.
Beyond basic rules, the book provides a unique perspective on the history of “outlaw” sports that have successfully transitioned to Olympic-level status, showing parents how to help talented young riders move from high-risk street behavior toward the discipline of the stadium.
Whether you are performing a “pedal-test” before a purchase or opening up a difficult conversation about safety, this resource empowers you to lead your teen with confidence and clarity.
