ATSPA CONFERENCE

Because e-bike safety is no accident.

Here are our promised downloads and information.

Thank you for attending the ATSPA Conference!

We hope you’ll reach out to the Bellemont Project to learn more about how we can help you make a difference in the Wild West era of e-bikes and e-motos.

The Incline Program

The Incline Program serves as behavioral-driven diversion model that pivots away from punitive enforcement and toward adolescent-centric mastery and accountability. As a specialized resource for this conference, we have provided a two-page download of “A Letter to Loved Ones,” a critical reflective exercise designed to dismantle the “barrier of distrust” and engage the participant’s capacity for empathy. By imagining the broad social consequences of a catastrophic injury, riders are prompted to move beyond the bikes, stunts, and status-seeking goals, to confront the human ecology of their choices. We invite you to print these materials and complete the assignment in handwriting yourself; by stepping into the role of an Incline participant, you can experience firsthand how this intentional shift from “rules” to “relationships” fosters authentic accountability and internalizes the true stakes of high-risk riding.

The Conversation Starter!

The Handout for Parents

Status for teens means belonging to the “in” group. Being part of a social group that peers admire is important to them.

Respect for teens means receiving the applause and shout-outs they deserve for showing off their amazing talents and skills. When a teen can literally dance on the seat of a moving e-bike, you know they trained for it and have awesome talent. It’s important that they be recognized for that.

The difference is, you can help them become pros, maybe in e-motocross, or maybe performing in shows like Cirque du Soleil. First, you must help talented young riders advocate for safer spaces to train, perform, and compete. It won’t be easy, but consider the alternative.

One thing is clear: The freeways are not appropriate training grounds for pro performers.

The Bedside Brief: A 3-Step Guide for Clinicians

Designed for the high-velocity environment of the trauma bay, The Bedside Brief serves as a strategic roadmap for navigating the crucial “teachable moment” following an e-bike or e-moto injury.

This 3-step guide provides clinicians with a rapid-response framework to implement the Mentor Mindset, shifting the bedside narrative from punitive enforcement to technical mastery. By utilizing a transparency statement to establish benevolent intent, explaining the exponential physics of “velocity squared,” and offering a status-neutral path toward legal equipment alternatives, medical professionals can effectively dismantle the adolescent “barrier of distrust.” We recommend keeping this guide easily accessible at the point of care to ensure that every clinical encounter becomes an opportunity for effective injury prevention and long-term behavioral change.

The Book That Parents Need!

The Caring Parent’s E-Bike Survival Guide acts as a vital bridge between emergency medical care and the long-term behavioral shifts required for a young rider’s survival. Maintaining a few copies of the second edition allows your team to immediately equip families with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of modern micromobility with clarity and confidence.
